If yours isn’t here, send a message or call — asking is welcome, and there’s no obligation to book.
No — all sessions are held online by secure video. That removes the commute and the waiting room, and it means I can work with clients anywhere in Virginia.
Somewhere in Virginia, and somewhere private enough to speak freely. Because I’m licensed in Virginia, you’ll need to be physically located in the state at the time of your appointment.
Sessions run 53–60 minutes. How often we meet depends on what you’re working on — weekly is common at first, easing to every other week as things settle. We’ll decide together.
The first appointment is an initial clinical intake. We talk through what’s bringing you in, a little of your history, and what you’re hoping will be different — then set goals to work toward. There’s time for your questions too. You decide what’s shared and when.
Reach out by phone or the contact form. From there you’ll get an invite to the secure Sessions Health portal, complete a few intake documents online, and book your first session. Nothing is filled in on paper.
Yes — Aetna, Anthem, Carelon, HealthKeepers Plus, Medicaid, and TRICARE. Bring your insurance details to your first contact and coverage is confirmed before your first session.
Sessions can be paid privately at the standard rates, shown on the fees page. If you’re not sure, ask — it’s worth checking before you rule anything out.
Payment is by credit or debit card, handled securely through the Sessions Health portal alongside your appointments and documents.
To receive your full session time, please arrive promptly for your scheduled appointment. Late arrivals and appointments cancelled or rescheduled less than 24 hours before the scheduled time will incur a $50 fee charged to the card on file.
No. As a Licensed Professional Counselor I provide therapy, not medication.
For most people, yes. The relationship and the work are what matter, and both translate well to video. Many clients find it easier to open up from a space that already feels safe — their own.
A phone, tablet, or computer with a camera, a reliable internet connection, and a private space where you won’t be overheard. That’s all.
Yes. What you share in therapy is confidential, within the limits the law sets — chiefly situations involving serious risk of harm. If anything about confidentiality is on your mind, it’s a good thing to raise in the first session.
